Shipping policy
This English version is provided as a convenience translation only. The Italian version of this Policy is the sole legally binding text under Italian law and shall prevail in case of any discrepancy.
1. Shipping methods
Shipments of products purchased on Menichelli Watches may be carried out, at the discretion of Menichelli s.r.l. or as agreed with the customer, by means of:
- armoured courier service through Ferrari S.p.A. Spedizioni;
- insured UPS courier service;
- insured FedEx courier service.
The choice of carrier may depend on the value of the goods, the destination, logistical, organisational or security requirements, as well as any specific agreements made with the customer.
2. Shipping costs
Shipping costs are borne by the customer, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing with Menichelli s.r.l.
The amount of shipping fees, where applicable, is communicated to the customer prior to order completion.
3. Order processing and delivery times
Order processing and delivery times may vary depending on product availability, destination, the appointed carrier, any security checks, and other logistical factors.
Unless otherwise specifically indicated to the customer prior to order completion, or otherwise agreed between the parties, Menichelli s.r.l. delivers the goods without undue delay and in any case within the maximum period provided by applicable law.
Any delivery times shall be considered indicative, unless a specific delivery deadline has been expressly agreed upon as essential.
4. Delivery of the goods
Delivery takes place exclusively to the person indicated in the order or to an expressly authorised representative.
For security reasons, Menichelli s.r.l. may require that delivery be carried out under procedures involving identification of the recipient, collection of a signature, verification of the recipient's details, or further safeguards compatible with the shipping service used.
The customer is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the delivery details entered at the time of the order. Menichelli s.r.l. shall not be held liable for delays, failed deliveries, or disruptions arising from incorrect, incomplete, or inaccurate information provided by the customer.
5. Inspection upon delivery
Upon delivery, the customer, or their authorised representative, is required to carefully inspect the external integrity of the package and of the goods before accepting them.
Where visible irregularities are present — such as, by way of example, packaging that is damaged, opened, tampered with, wet, deformed, or otherwise compromised — the customer is required to report this immediately to the carrier and to contact Menichelli s.r.l. without delay using the contact details provided in this Policy.
Acceptance of delivery without immediate objection in the presence of evident damage or irregularities may make subsequent claims against the carrier or insurer more difficult to pursue.
6. Transfer of risk
In contracts where Menichelli s.r.l. arranges shipment of the goods, the risk of loss or damage to the product shall pass to the customer only at the moment when the customer, or a third party other than the carrier and designated by them, takes physical possession of the goods.
This means that, until actual delivery to the customer or their authorised representative, the risk during transport remains governed by applicable law.
7. Failed delivery or absence of the recipient
Should the recipient be absent at the time of delivery, the procedures provided by the appointed carrier shall apply, which may include a further delivery attempt, deposit at an authorised location, holding the parcel in storage, or return to sender.
Any additional costs arising from failed delivery attributable to the customer, the recipient being unreachable, unjustified refusal of delivery, or errors in the information provided may be charged to the customer.
8. Delivery delays
Menichelli s.r.l. shall not be held liable for delays attributable to force majeure, extraordinary events, strikes, logistical disruptions, security checks, regulatory restrictions, carrier service failures, or other events that could not reasonably be foreseen or avoided.
The customer's rights under applicable law in the event of non-delivery within the required time remain unaffected.
9. Territorial scope of shipments
Shipments are made to the territories indicated on the website or agreed upon with the customer on a case-by-case basis. Menichelli s.r.l. reserves the right to decline orders for destinations in areas that are not served, deemed high-risk, or incompatible with the security and insurance services available.
